POSITION TITLE: (2) Part-Time, Librarians
REPORTS TO: Library Director

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Master of Library Science from an ALA-accredited university required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
• Must be familiar with library automated book catalogs and an expert using
library online databases
• Must have experience in tutoring or teaching
• Must have ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure
manuals
• Must have ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public
• Must have ability to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 25 pounds

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide reference service and learning support to students within the
scope of the service program plan
• Conduct library instruction sessions as scheduled
• Collection development
• Take primary responsibility for, or assist with, related projects as
assigned
• Provide computer assistance and troubleshooting for students
• Assume “librarian-in-charge” responsibilities as assigned, such as
supervisory responsibilities during evenings and weekends
• Other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE:*
1st position: 15-25 hours per week; 30 weeks per year*
*2nd position: 15-25 hours per week; 39 weeks per year
Some evening and weekend hours may be required*

STARTING DATE: ASAP

COMPENSATION: Hourly rate based on education, experience and existing wage
rates for similar positions at Baker College.
