1) QuestionPoint Administration 1 - Start Your QuestionPoint Service

Learners will be able to create service web links for patron access, create librarian accounts, and customize communication parameters for patrons and staff to facilitate use of the QuestionPoint service for virtual reference.



This course is intended for learners with an Institution Administration account whose institutions are new to the QuestionPoint service.  Current QuestionPoint administrators can also benefit from the class as a refresher or to fill in foundational gaps about setting up the QuestionPoint service for your institutions.




2) QuestionPoint Administration 2 - Define Your Institution Profile and Policy Page

Learners will be able to define their institutions' profiles and policy pages to join the 24/7 Reference Cooperative, as well as set up access to QuestionPoint Knowledge Bases.

Current QuestionPoint administrators can also benefit from the class as a refresher or to fill in foundational gaps about setting up the QuestionPoint service for your institutions.



3) QuestionPoint Administration 3 - Generate and Interpret Reports

This course provides instruction on a variety of QuestionPoint reports to assist learners with identifying service trends, making management decisions, and providing quality control for their institutions and/or groups.  Learners will be able to see the convenient reporting capabilities that exist at the subscription group level, the individual library level, and the librarian level, as well as identify the appropriate reports for the desired information.



This course is intended for learners with an Ask Administrator account, an Institution Administration account, and/or Group (BME) Administration account who are new to the Reports feature of QuestionPoint.  Current QuestionPoint administrators can also benefit from the class as a refresher or to fill in any foundational gaps about Reports.



4) QuestionPoint Librarian 1 - QuestionPoint Overview and E-mail Reference

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, North America [UTC -5]

This course provides an overview of the QuestionPoint service and instruction on the basic functions and features of E-mail reference, as well as including a pre-existing answer from the Global Knowledge Base.  After completing this course, learners will have the basic skills to successfully respond to an E-mail reference question from within QuestionPoint.

This course is intended for learners who are new to QuestionPoint and E-mail reference process. Current QuestionPoint E-mail users can benefit by using this class as a refresher to fill in foundational gaps and get updates on new functions and features.



5) QuestionPoint Librarian 2 - Use Chat in QuestionPoint

This course provides instruction on the QuestionPoint chat process, the basic functions and features of Chat, and the necessary browser configurations to facilitate a successful chat experience.  After completing this course, learners will have the basic skills to deliver virtual reference via QuestionPoint Chat.



This course is intended for learners who are new to the 24/7 Reference Cooperative and providing reference service via QuestionPoint Chat.  Current Chat users can benefit by using this class as a refresher to fill in foundational gaps and get updates on new functions and features.





6) QuestionPoint Librarian 3 - Chat Follow-up, Referrals, and Manage Questions

This course provides instruction on the Chat follow-up workflows, the basic functions and features of referrals, as well managing questions in the QuestionPoint environment. After completing this course, learners will have the basic skills to appropriately and successfully route transcripts for follow-up and refer questions to another library or subject matter expert.



This course is intended for learners who are new and current users of whose libraries are providing reference service via QuestionPoint. Current QuestionPoint users can benefit by using this class as a refresher to fill in foundational gaps and get updates on new functions and features.





7) QuestionPoint Librarian 4 - Create Personal Scripts and use IM & Transfer

This course provides instruction on more commonly-used features of Chat, such as using instant message (IM) with another Chat librarian and transferring an existing patron to another Chat librarian for continued assistance.  After completing this course, the learner will gain the knowledge to be more efficient during Chat sessions with his/her patrons.



This course is intended for learners who are comfortable with providing reference service via in a virtual environment, especially QuestionPoint Chat environment.  This course will help current chat users be more effective at providing chat service to their patrons.
