to Save Us,” by Stephanie Powell Watts, published by Ecco/an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. Ms. Parker made the announcement during the ALA’s Annual Conference & Exhibition taking place in Chicago at McCormick Place, June 22-27, 2017.</span></p>

"Ready to Code.” The $500,000 pilot program is part of Phase III of <a href="http://www.ala.org/tools/readytocode/2" style="color: blue; text-decoration: underline;">
<span style="color:black">Libraries Ready to Code</span></a>, an ongoing collaboration between ALA and Google to ensure expert library professionals are prepared to develop and deliver programming that promotes computer science (CS) and computational thinking

<p><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">The American Association of School Librarians (AASL), a division of ALA, announced its 2017 Best Websites for Teaching & Learning at the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago. The annual list honors 25
websites that provide enhanced learning and curriculum development for school librarians and their teacher collaborators. Now in its ninth year, with 225 recognized sites, the list is considered the "best of the best" by AASL.</span></p>
