<span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif;color:#454545">The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is offering its 3<sup>rd</sup>. annual free, multi-day professional development training for elementary, middle, and high school teachers
 in July 2016. "Making," invention, and concepts of intellectual property (IP) will be explored as a means to inspire and support STEM learning in the classroom.   We will be in Michigan this year on the campus of MSU.  MSU has several Maker Space labs on campus,
 including the Engineering Maker Space Lab and The Hatch, participating teachers will have access to these spaces during the course of the Institute to facilitate hands-on making, design thinking, and innovation based projects.  Projects within these Maker
 Space labs will allow participants to have practical experience in understanding concepts of IP and an immersion experience that allows them to translate lessons learned to their own classrooms.</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><u></u><u></u></span></p>
