NASA @ My Library
In response to the needs of library staff and their patrons who are practicing self-isolation and social distancing during the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), STAR Net and its NASA@ My Library project are developing a special collection of resources through a new "STEAM Ahead @ Home" initiative. This initiative will disseminate a variety of STEAM content (via a newsletter format) that library staff can incorporate into current online programming for patrons as well as training tools to improve their own skills. To receive this newsletter, visit the STAR Net website to join our community at: www.starnetlibraries.org/register/<http://www.starnetlibraries.org/register/>.

ALSC
What to do in a global pandemic was not taught in library school!<https://www.alsc.ala.org/blog/2020/04/global-pandemic-was-not-taught-in-library-school/>
"After the governor issued a shelter-in-place order for California earlier this month, my library system closed to the public. Fortunately, all non-essential staff are currently being allowed to work from home. Many of us now have the time to think outside of the box to provide new types of service and to expand electronic services that we already provide."

Honoring Infancy: Growing the Garden - Nurturing a Play and Early Learning Space<https://ala-events.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_I3hs69djT0SJcdLl6uKKkA>
An ALSC Webinar, Tuesday, April 14, 3:00 PM ET
"Let's Do It" you proclaim. As a youth professional you have established the importance of play. But how do you get there and create a space supported by the library and your community? Join members from ALSC's Early Childhood Programs & Services committee as we explore library play and learning spaces for the youngest of patrons. Whether you're working with a small budget or looking to redesign your space you can create a play and learning space.

ALSC Resources Now Open<http://www.ala.org/alsc/alsc-open-resources>
In case you missed it: if you are not an ALSC member, we recently opened some of our member-only content for all to access. These resources include webinars and 2019 issues of Children & Libraries: The Journal of ALSC.

Remote Programming Ideas
Many of us are sheltering-in-place and our libraries are closed, but that doesn't mean the programs have to stop. Instead of in-house teen programming, we must flex our out-of-the-box brain to come up with some remote programs. There are several teen librarians who are already doing some great remote programs<https://gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fala.us1.list-manage.com%2Ftrack%2Fclick%3Fu%3Db9b7f12a0545b1a14ef19a691%26id%3D6c63e99018%26e%3D55dff2545f&data=02%7C01%7CLancasterC5%40michigan.gov%7C90bdb67026fd407d7da708d7dbeaf257%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C0%7C637219674443366090&sdata=uZp25sf6ncpDPzATSBHp7rIkdCwu3GnqJE753PULiM4%3D&reserved=0> on Instagram and other websites.
