For those looking for the new MyHeritage eResource, there is slight delay with the URL. We expect the link soon, and encourage you to check back for it.

We know genealogy research is popular across the state and are excited to offer MyHeritage, which has some great content, including…

o Enlistment records for WWII
o Integrated search across all resources, similar in functionality to Ancestry
o Family history resource including more than 6 billion historical records from the United States, Europe, Latin America, and other regions.
o Full USA federal census (1790-1940); census of England and Wales (1841-1901); as well as records of Union and Confederate Civil War soldiers. Over 2 billion family trees.

If you’re looking for PERSI, this is now part of Ancestry.com. If you’re looking for the Freedman’s Bank Records 1865-1874 as well as Freedman’s Bureau Marriages 1815-1869, you will find that information at FamilySearch (a freely available family history resource).

When the URL is available, we will post to the listservs. Keep your eyes peeled!

In the meantime, if you have questions about the new MeL.org site or the new eResources, please don’t hesitate to reach out. The best way to submit questions is to use the “Talk to Us – Tell Us Your Story” form<https://mel.org/contact> on our site.

Have a great day!
Liz
