Hello All!

The Michigan eLibrary (MeL) has had a social media presence for a number of years. We primarily use Facebook<http://facebook.com/mel.org>, Twitter<http://twitter.com/meldotorg> and YouTube<https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO1dqA8_ZOCfZcHP9OaBGew> to share about MeL's presence at conferences, workshops and trainings. We do Facebook post and tweets about digital library related topics, MeL staff and other engaging topics. On MeL's YouTube channel<https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO1dqA8_ZOCfZcHP9OaBGew>, you can find videos on our business portal, subscription databases, and on topics such as back to school with MeL. Stay tuned for a series of new MeL videos one of which is currently running on MeL's homepage!

We do have followers on our social media sites-2900 followers on Facebook, 2209 on Twitter and on YouTube 190! YouTube is our most recent social media addition. We really like to engage with our followers and appreciate it when they make comments and share out our posts, tweets and vids. You can find the social media icons on MeL's homepage<http://mel.org/>, as well. Just scroll down to the lower right corner and you will see them there.

Perhaps you'd prefer a less interactive medium for MeL information? Well, we also post about MeL on a number of listservs-Michlib-l being the main one. This listserv is maintained by the Library of Michigan, so you will also get access to posts about all manner of library topics, concerns and information from the Library and the Michigan library community. If you're interested in subscribing to Michlib-l, go to http://mail2.mcls.org/mailman/listinfo/michlib-l <http://mail2.mcls.org/mailman/listinfo/michlib-l> and follow the instructions. If you'd rather an eNewsletter, you can subscribe to the LM Dispatch<https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/MILOM/subscriber/new>. This is a bi-monthly publication containing occasional articles on MeL, but also news from the Library and Michigan libraries. MeL's K-12 Education Specialist also maintains a K-12 School Library/Media Center & Educator Community<https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/MILOM/subscriber/new> listserv for those interested in how MeL resources can work with and impact that environment.

Connect with MeL and be social or just connect!

~Deb
