We’ve got so many free* maker, entrepreneurship, grantwriting, *and *creativity
workshops *coming up in *Ann Arbor *(SE Michigan)*, Niles *(SW Michigan)*,
Frankenmuth *(mid-Michigan)*, and Marquette *(Upper Peninsula)* in June! *



All are free, with free SCECH credits for K-12 educators. Register and find

*Tuesday, June 6, 10am - noon | Google Cardboard - virtual reality for
under $10!*Wish you could stand under the Eiffel tower and look around but
can’t afford the ticket to France? Instead, why not go there via Virtual
Reality? All you need is a $10 cardboard box fitted with lenses and your
smartphone (headphones suggested). The first 20 who register by Friday,
6/2, will leave the workshop with a Google Cardboard viewer for their

*Thursday, June 8, 10am - noon | Fashion Hacking - repurposing secondhand
clothing *Did you know that some of the largest thrift stores in the U.S.
are right in suburban Detroit? They’re bursting at the seams, often
offering their secondhand clothing for as little as 99 cents after a few
weeks lingering on the rack. Turn those low-cost secondhand finds into new
creations for less than the cost of a trip to the fabric store. Sewing is
one of the hottest programs in many public libraries!
