[Michlib-l] Upcoming Programs at Warren Civic Center Library

Pewabic Pottery, a ceramic studio and school, was founded in Detroit, MI in 1903. They are known for their irridescent glazed tiles, which grace notable buildings through the United States. Join us for a presentation on their founders and history, along with a tour of the display in our showcases. The program will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 6:00 pm in the Warren Civic Center Conference Room. A raffle will be held for a free tile - must be present to win!


Money Smart Week: The Warren Public Library is proud to host these upcoming events in the spirit of helping others to keep their ledgers in the black and their pockets filled with green!

1: Identity Theft - Learn how to prevent being a victim as well as the steps to follow if someone steals your identity. Glenn Clark from the Michigan Attorney General's Office and Colleen Godfrey, a consumer education specialist, from the Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union will present.  This program will be held Monday, April 18 at 6:00 pm in the Warren Civic Center Conference Room.

2: Power Over Debt - This workshop will highlight ways to avoid debt and build a more secure future. Discussions include understanding and improving your credit report and score, as well as steps to tackling debt through identifying spending habits and budgeting. Colleen Godfrey from the Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union will present. This program will be held Tuesday, April 26 at 6:00 pm in the Warren Civic Center Conference Room.
