Have you or do you know of an individual or group who has made an outstanding professional achievement in library management, training, cataloging and classification, or the tools and techniques of librarianship?

The Melvil Dewey Medal is an annual award consisting of $2,000, a Dewey Medal, and a 24k gold-framed citation to an individual or group for recent creative leadership of high order, particularly in those fields in which Melvil Dewey was actively interested: library management, library training, cataloging and classification, and the tools and techniques of librarianship. The 2015 award winner was Hwa-Wei Lee, former chief of the Asian Division of the Library of Congress.
