I could not be online this morning, but I wanted to say happy birthday to MeLCat, our state’s statewide catalog and resource sharing system.  It is hard to believe it has been ten years since we went live!  It took a lot of talking with vendors, surveying library staff, surveying the public, learning from pilot projects, looking at other states, crafting specifications, evaluating responses, negotiating a contract, and figuring out statewide delivery before we could finally implement the system.  I am proud of our collaboration and sharing, and hope to see it grow even more in the future.  We are stronger when we work together ;-)  Stay warm everybody!  -Sheryl Mase
