OCC History Professor Emeritus Dennis Fiems will also be speaking at the
White Lake Township Library on Wednesday, March 4, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm.
Registration is requested: 248-698-4942, ext. 2 or online at
whitelakelibrary.org.

This presentation is part of the Created Equal Series: America's Civil
Rights Struggle, made possible through a major grant from the National
Endowment for the Humanities, as part of its Bridging Cultures initiative,
in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.

*No Justice, No Peace*

*The end of the Civil War brought emancipation for former slaves, but it
also marked the beginning of a new reign of terror and violence culminating
in lynching. For African Americans there was no justice or peace. *

Thank you,
