Central Michigan University Libraries seeks applications for the position
of Medical Library Associate. This new position provides information and
research services to students and faculty within the College of Medicine’s
Learning Commons, which is a highly networked environment. The incumbent of
this position reports to the Medical Librarian and assists with information
literacy instruction, assists with the creation of library learning
objects, and participates in evaluation activities.

*Minimum qualifications:*
• Bachelor's degree
• At least 1 year of experience w¬¬-¬orking in a library or in a
health-related field
• Strong computer and technical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills

*Preferred qualifications:*
• Customer services experience in a higher education or health care
environment
• Experience teaching or tutoring
• Experience creating research guides
• Experience developing online instructional tools
• Graduate degree in a related field. Students currently enrolled in a
library or biomedical sciences master's degree program are encouraged to
apply.
• Experience supporting biomedical research activities
