[Michlib-l] Ripping software

We have had a patron request that the library provide ripping software.  
Other than the possibility of copyright issues, does anyone else have 
any experience which you are willing to share?  How much staff time and 
supervision is involved?  Any recommendations on actual software?  Other 
concerns?
