[Michlib-l] Call for proposals: MLA Technologies and Trends workshop

The MLA Technologies & Trends work group is seeking proposals for presentations at the Michigan Library Association’s 2015 Technologies and Trends workshop. This one-day event, on June 5, 2015, at Grand Valley State University, Allendale, will attract a wide variety of library practitioners. The work group is seeking proposals for sessions from public, academic, special, and school-library professionals and staff that will share new library technologies or introduce innovative ways libraries can use technology to be more effective and efficient. Possible topics could include but are not limited to updates on discovery systems, the library staff - IT relationship, technology for improving accessibility for people with disabilities, copyright, and responsive web design. Presenters at this workshop will be on the bill with keynote speaker Michael Stephens, creator of the TameTheWeb blog, author of Library Journal's Office Hours column, and professor of library and information science at San Jose State University.
