Hello all,

If you were to guess, how many countries in addition to the United States do you think have a Thanksgiving holiday? How would you go about finding this information quickly and accurately? Would it surprise you to discover that the list includes Croatia, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, and Liberia? The MeL Database CultureGrams™<http://www.galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-proq.php?database=CULTURE> found in the alphabetic list of databases<http://mel.org/Databases>, the Kids Gateway Homework Helpers<http://kids.mel.org/HomeworkHelpers>, and Teens Gateway Homework Help<http://teens.mel.org/MeLHomeworkHelp>, is a treasure trove of this and many other facts and information about countries throughout the world, the United States, and Canadian provinces. Search for “Thanksgiving” and see what tidbits of cultural information you find. Bon Appétit! Michigan residents or Michigan library access only.

MeL Minutes are brought to you by the Library of Michigan. Want more information on MeL?
