Celebrate National Library Week April 13–19

Libraries are beautiful inside and out— and they're often the heart of their communities, campuses, and schools.

Now through March 28, 2014, submit a picture for any of the five award categories below and your library could win big.

        1.      Most unique structure/art installation – Is there a piece of art or sculpture that's always a topic of conversation at your library? If so, please show and tell.
        2.      Greatest historical treasure – Whether it’s your library building itself or a particular part of your collection, we’d love to hear the story behind its historical significance.
        3.      Most modern architecture – There's nothing wrong with tradition— but show off your 21st century look.
        4.      Coolest internal space – From a whimsical children’s space to a hip teen area, tech hub, or academic retreat, share why patrons flock to enter and are reluctant to leave.
        5.      Best curb appeal – Show us what your library looks like from the road and why it makes people stop in their tracks— and come in.

Contest Prizes

Libraries can win $500 in one of five categories or $2,500 for best in show. We'll also award an honorable mention per category and send you an 11" x 14" matted and framed print of the entered photograph.
