Vailey Oehlke, Director of Libraries at the Multnomah County Library, is 
a candidate for PLA President 2015/16. I encourage you to support her in 
her candidacy as she has a demonstrated commitment to public libraries, 
large and small, and their future as critical community assets. In 
addition to leading a well regarded library on the west coast, she has 
been deeply involved in work on behalf of public libraries across the 
country that is important to their continued relevance. You can read
