Workshops start next week but sign-up is still going on! Please consider attending and encouraging those in your community who work with small business/entrepreneurs and in economic development to join us! We could use some more registrations in the Marquette, Grayling and Saginaw locations :) Read on:

We have scheduled 7 locations around Michigan August 21-30 for training workshops on the new business resources we have recently added to the Michigan eLibrary, http://mel.org/databases or http://mel.org/bizandjobs. These resources will be especially useful as you work with those who are starting or growing businesses both individuals and with any economic development organizations in your community. Plus libraries can use BusinessDecision and DemographicsNow to understand their own markets/target audiences!

High schools who have business education and/or young entrepreneur programs will also be interested in the new business resources in MeL.

Academic librarians will want to share these resources with their business faculty and students and special libraries will be interested in how they can use the new business resources for their organizations/companies! Something for everyone so please share widely--Economic development organization staff, chambers of commerce staff, SCORE, MichiganWorks! staff, etc. are welcome to attend the trainings!
