Greetings! I trust you all are doing well and managing the current environment as well as possible. I'm writing to share the good news that OCLC has completed the MI-SPI 2.0 individual and group data set development and you should now have access to this information via log-in credentials provided by OCLC. If you did not receive an email from them, please let me know immediately. Also, if you need access for additional library staff, provide me with their contact information and I will work with OCLC to get access set up.

It's been a long stretch from completing your individual library data extraction to receiving the group data set and I want to thank everyone for their patience during this process. I know we are all excited and ready to move forward. Below are next steps, including a doodle poll for scheduling our data set overview with OCLC, as well as a few notes and updates about MI-SPI 2.0.

1-Meet as a group with OCLC to review data sets and receive basic Green Glass instruction.
**Note: individual library meetings with OCLC for more advanced Green Glass instruction is available for those interested. If this interests you, please let me know.
**Here is the Doodle Poll link for scheduling the meeting with OCLC, https://doodle.com/poll/qrs9p2w3iffbvirw

2-Begin the process of establishing retention criteria & scenarios. The Steering Committee will direct this process.
**Note: Barbara Cockrell, Steering Committee Chair, has retired from Western Michigan University! Cara Cadena, of Grand
Valley State University, has stepped into the Steering Committee Chair position. A decision has not yet been made about replacing Barbara on the committee.

3-Marianne Swierenga, Cataloging and Metadata Librarian, now represents WMU for MI-SPI 2.0. Welcome Marianne!

4-Agreement update. The agreement between MI-SPI 2.0 & OCLC provided for two (2) years of active data access (it is possible for libraries to download their data for perpetual access) in GreenGlass. After a series of discussions prompted by Helen Levenson, Oakland University, we were able to extend this access to three (3) years. Thank you to Helen and Scott Garrison, Executive Director, MCLS, for assisting with this negotiation. Once the revised agreement is available, I will share it with the group.

5-I am very mindful of current circumstances and the potential impact on MI-SPI 2.0 work. This is a topic the Steering Committee will address and we'll be looking for group feedback as well.

In the meantime, enjoy getting into GreenGlass and please complete the Doodle Poll by Tuesday, July 7. The meeting will be held via Zoom. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Stephanie D. Davis, M.S./M.B.A.
